Summary on Columbine: Whose Fault Is It?
"Columbine: Whose Fault Is It?" is an article written by Marilyn Manson who would seem, by most people, the last person to talk about aggression and violence. Manson talks about how he is saddened that the first people needed no motivation other than their own disposition of violence to kill someone. The first people he refers to is Cain and Able. He then goes on to talk about how the media now idolizes criminals by slapping them onto the front page and making them the biggest headlines like Charles Manson, Jesse James and now Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris. He also talks about how he are amazed by a bomb that could kill numerous amounts of people at one time and growing up watching death happen. Manson continues by saying that media plays a huge role in making matters worse by televising funerals, interviewing parents of recently deceased children and creating scapegoats to try and put blame on others. While the media may not be directly linked to the violence being caused, many will still put blame on it.
