The Walking Dead: Volume 1
I may not be a fan of these kind of stories, but this one I was a bit interested in. I liked it mostly because of the message it sent out to me, as the reader. Almost everyone in the story had lost someone to these walking dead creatures roaming the streets, so everyone had empathy for each other. That's a theme I noticed. Knowing they needed to stay sane in order to survive, they all came together as a family and loved each other, giving some hope. The part that stuck out the most to me was when the man who lost his WHOLE family to those creatures, spoke out on another girl saying how horrible it was that she died, and that she didn't deserve it; he really cared about this girl. He barley even really knew her, but yet she was like family to him. They all cared about each other and it's shown throughout this whole story.
