Walking dead responce

One of the big things that stood out to me was,in the beginning when Rick was wondering around his old house then was struck in the head. It was surprising to me that the kindness of the people he met after they had nothing and had given him shelter and protection and used their resources to transport him to the old police station. they could have held him hostage or even killed him, yet they let him in and accepted him. It shown me that even in a world gone to Hell, you can still find kindness in peoples hearts.
